Finals are in the grade book and I have found a moment to do something that, over the past several months and years, I have learned to love…blog and reflect…
A year ago I posted about change in my teaching assignment well, here I am doing it again…almost a year to date. As most of you know, we will be opening the middle school this fall and I am very excited to be a part of it. I have now had experience in the K-8 setting (at Augusta Elementary) and the 7-12 setting (Pangburn High) and I will now get the chance to experience the 5-8 setting. I have truly enjoyed working with Mr. Rolland and the staff at the high school and will be sad to leave but I am also looking forward to working with Mr. Ramsey and the 5-8 staff in a BRAND NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL BUILDING.
As many of you may know, I graduated with an M.Ed in Educational Leadership this spring, which enables me to be a building principal. As of yet I have not been offered a job. It is with mixed emotions that I report this. I LOVE working directly with students. The past six years have given me some great memories and experiences however, I would also like to move to the next level and try to put my experience to practice in the Principals Office. I am in a win-win situation. If I get a principal job I would be achieving a major life ambition. I KNOW I will be a great Building Leader. But, if it doesn’t work out this year I will be working at a GREAT school district for a GREAT principal, and with a GREAT staff.
I have been AM truly blessed!
